Dr. Nicholas Makhoul DMD, MD, FRCD(C), Dip ABOMS, FACS
Nicholas Makhoul is the Chief of Department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the MUHC and a dual degreed oral and maxillofacial surgeon with sub-specialization in maxillofacial reconstruction and oral oncology. He is a full time academic surgeon at the McGill University health system and assistant professor at McGill University. Currently, he maintains a clinical practice focusing on complex facial reconstruction post tumor ablative surgery of the face and jaws, as well as several translational research projects focusing on functional reconstruction of the mouth, jaws and face. He has a strong interest in post tumour resection functional reconstruction as well as 3D anatomic modeling for facial reconstruction.
Dr. Makhoul has lectured nationally and internationally on quality assurance in maxillofacial surgery, oral cancer, maxillofacial reconstruction and medication related osteonecrosis of the jaw. He is a recent fellow of the ADEA leadership institute and involved in several national and international associations of dentistry and OMFS.
